These two cigarette cards featuring Basil Rathbone and Greta Garbo (from "Anna Karenina") are from a 250-card set called Cinema Cavalcade, Vol. 2, issued by A.& M. Wix in South Africa and England in 1940. The backs of the cards each has the card number, series title and descriptive text in both English and Afrikaans. Each card in the set was given as a free premium with the purchase of a pack of Max cigarettes. These two each measure approximately 2.25 x 3 inches (5.5 x 7.25 cm.).
